It’s easy to write off Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as just another crazy rebel with a big mouth, but he has these moments of incredible manliness and maturity, and you realize he’s actually a million times cooler than you originally thought ♥ His insane ideas and legendary fighting spirit inspired everyone to do greater things, and he earned the respect of even his enemies.

Version 1 features Kamina in a cool and inspiring design ♥ Following him into battle was like having a death wish, but everyone believed in him and I wanted to recreate that inspiring scene before the big battle. The volcano symbolizes his fiery spirit – I thought it was fitting that he came bursting out from underground, just like a volcano.
